IT/TELECOMS MARKETING MANAGER
These marketing managers are responsible for a team and typically hold budget responsibility. The need for specialist expertise and good people management skills keeps demand high. Salaries tend to fall between £50K and £60K. Typical packages include fully expensed car bonus and benefits.
Managers expect high levels of training (esp. in new media) and are motivated by progression, more responsibility and bigger teams.
IT/TELECOMS MARKETING DIRECTOR
Basic salaries and benefits vary greatly across the diverse range of IT organisations. Directors with responsibility for 100+ staff, reporting to board level, average from £65 to £90K with bonuses of 10-20%. Directorial marketing posts in smaller companies usually command £60K to £80K. Usual benefits for both include stock or equity, pension, life and health cover, and relocation costs where necessary.
