This documentary explores the various options open to firms refreshing their client estates this year, including desktops, laptops, Ultrabooks, tablets, smartphones and desktop virtualisation

Many firms have delayed their client refresh programmes due to the recession. But with Microsoft ceasing support of Windows XP in April 2014, many organisations are upgrading their client estates now.

This documentary explores the various options open to organisations, and hears from Jon Quick, CIO of training and recruitment firm Avanta, about his choices.

Avanta is one of the UK's leading employment-focused training and enterprise companies, and a prime contractor for the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP)'s Work Programme to get one million people back into work.

It recently chose Civica to provide a hosted communications infrastructure and technical support for up to 80 Job Centre Plus and other DWP offices across the country. This outsourced service supports Avanta's operations nationwide, helping people on state benefits to select, train for, obtain and retain employment that is suitable for their ages and capacities.
