Carnegie Mellon University is the first stop this week in our continuing update on inventions that you may or may not see soon. Using stuff from Microsoft’s Kinect technology, they’ve only gone and made a touch screen that you can project on to surfaces. They’re suggesting that this surface could be a pad of paper – but we’re much more excited to think about projecting the on switch onto your best mate’s nose, or projecting a giant smartphone onto a brick wall, that you have to operate by banging it with your head – so that thing that you always said about emailing your boss suddenly becomes true.
