Bletchley Park will hold an open day on Saturday 3 May for the Computer Conservation Society and BCS members, families and friends. The grounds will open at 10.30am and last admission will be at 3.30pm. Admission charge is #3 for adults, #2.50 for children and senior citizens. All admission charges will go to the Bletchley Park restoration funds.

The programme of lectures, to be held in the ballroom of the mansion, is as follows:

- 11am: Welcome and introduction by Brian Oakley, chairman of the CCS;

- 11.30am: The Turing Bombe, by John Harper;

- 12 noon: The breaking of the Fish codes and the use of Heath Robinson and Colossus, by Tony Sale;

- 2.15pm: Guided tour of the grounds and the cryptography trail, ending with the rebuilt Colossus computer.

The Computer Museum and the Radar & Electronics Museum will be open all day as well as the 12 other supporting museums, including the Churchillian, historic toys, model boats, model railways and military vehicles museums.

A special buffet lunch costing #5 will be provided for those CCS and BCS members who book in advance. Please contact Brian or Marion Oakley on (0181) 393 4096.

The Park is open to the public on that day so please make yourself known as a CCS or BCS member at the entrance.
