Technology could help Lebanon 'reach stability and begin to enjoy its peace,' claimed Elias Hrawi, the country's president, at the opening of a new university computer faculty. Adopting new technology would be the only way, Hrawi stressed, of ensuring that the country can compete economically with Israel, but that could only happen if the country can maintain lasting peace.
