IBM
has launched a global study of the challenges facing IT leaders today.
The New Voice of the CIO report was produced after conversations with more than 2,500 chief information officers (CIOs) worldwide.

The survey found that CIOs today are much more actively involved in solving business problems, not just IT problems. For example, IT leaders say they are are spending 55 per cent of their time driving innovation.
One CIO in the electronics sector summarised the role of the IT leader: “In IT, we are not magicians, but we are certainly jugglers.”
The IBM Global CIO study is being provided to Computing readers as part of Computing's Tomorrow's IT Leaders campaign.
