Backbytes is concerned that the future of hot desking is none too hot. Two schoolkids, members of the generation expected to make this strategy work, have already had a Stanley knife fight over whose turn it was on the school PC.

One 15-year-old slashed the leg and face of his friend in an argument at Dulwich High School for Boys in south east London. The injured lad got treated for minor knife wounds.

Teachers were stunned at the over reaction by the youth. It doesn't bode well for usually reasonable people waiting their turn for the docking station.
