Avantis, the multimedia network server solutions developer has appointed Ian Roberts as European sales manager.
Roberts joined Avantis in January 1998. Prior to this he spent seven years as regional manager for Micropolis and Steam Logic selling disc drives and sub systems, working closely with Trevor Duplock, the current sales and marketing director at Avantis.
Roberts' appointment as European sales manager coincides with the opening of the company's new sales and marketing office in Bracknell, Berkshire and the appointment of its first distributor in Germany, Hamburg-based Additt Datensysteme.
