Encouraging news if you have ever contacted ICL and were told to take a running jump: you're in good company. Our picture shows the oldest known abseiler, Molli Turner aged 82, who jumped off the 175-foot ICL building in Gorton. This answers an important question: namely, what does ICL does with all those old buildings?

All that remains is to publicise the charity on whose behalf Molli did this: St Ann's Hospice, which looks after patients with life-threatening and terminal diseases such as Cancer and Aids. You can send donations to appeals@st-anns-hospice.org.uk or call (0161) 283 6600.
