Sorcha Dowdall has been appointed to oversee Olivetti computers' entire UK operation from channel sales to product marketing, as its new UK general manager.
Dowdall comes from Elonex where she was head of Elonex Solutions, the company's services arm. Prior to Elonex, she was director of systems integration at 3COM. Her career also includes 19 years at IBM, in several senior management positions.
Olivetti CEO, Bernhard Auer, described Dowdall's appointment as "very much part of our move to invigorate the entire business".
