Steve Coggins has been appointed Amdahl's vice president and general manager for Europe, Middle East and Africa, assuming responsibility for sales and marketing throughout the region.

Coggins' appointment follows more than 20 years service at Amdahl in Europe, most recently at its Antare subsidiary (now part of the Amdahl Software Group), where he was responsible for worldwide sales, distribution and services for five years.

Coggins takes over from Alan Bell, who has been promoted to senior vice president, worldwide field operations.
