The Lords can sleep peacefully in their seats, safe in the knowledge that a new Windows NT-based financial and management accounting software, SunSytems from Systems Union, is assisting them in the running of the House. The new system has been installed by Foundation Systems in the Accountant's Office, House of Lords, an accounting service which handles the finances of the House. The new system will also handle the planned move from cash accounting to accruals-based resource accounting, catering for both systems during a three year changeover period. Foundation is to supply ongoing implementation support, training and consultancy.
