IT for Terminal 5 takes off

BA is stepping up work to move to Terminal 5

2005 December BAA installs the IT network for Heathrow T5, supporting voice, data and operational systems.
2006 February Airport operator BAA starts work on the £250m systems, from comms to security infrastructure.
2007 April British Airways starts testing the IT end to end, from check-in and baggage handling to back office.
2007 October Some 16,000 people will act as passengers to test the building, before its 27 March 2008 opening.
