John Thompson mails us from the Thistle Hotels group to query a story on page 2 of our 18 February issue. 'A full national police network is five years away, as forces admit to a lag in implementation schedules,' it says.
'Surely a lag would have a personal interest in ensuring that the police never get an organised computer system,' our correspondent says. His recommendation is that the police send someone into that department to weed out the aforementioned lag before he does any more damage. Case closed.
