Today sees the Ofex debut of NetBet UK, which since last October has been running tax-free betting on its site www.sportingbet.com from its base in Alderney in the Channel Isles.
Managing director Mark Blandford is so pleased with the performance of his new service that he's going to use the money raised to expand into the US. Doesn't he worry about the risk? 'My customers are the gamblers,' he says. 'I'm not.'
