Time = Number of bits/transfer rate

Provides a small amount of storage in the processor (1), holds an instruction/memory address/data value (1)

Question 5:

a) Correct calculation using variables (1)

For example:

Use of variable for result (1)

b) Any one suitable benefit with expansion:

  • Makes code easier to understand (1)
