Voice-directed technology vendor
Vocollect
has announced that VoiteQ is the first UK reseller to become certified under its
new partner scheme.
The programme was launched last month and has three levels of certification:
voice provider; voice solutions provider; and the highest level, total solutions
provider.
VoiteQ, which sells warehouse picking products, is now a certified voice
solutions provider. Chief executive David Stanhope indicated this is the highest
level attainable for his company.
“We have a close relationship with Vocollect and we give them honest feedback,”
he said.
The voice-directed technology market grew more than 30 per cent in Europe last
year, he added.
Vocollect’s business development manager for the UK, Ireland and South Africa,
Anton du Preez, predicted that the market could grow by as much as 60 per cent
in 2008.
He also stated Vocollect had more than 80 per cent of the global market share.
“We do not behave like a monopolistic gorilla. The market has opened up and end
users can make qualitative judgements between companies. Voice-directed
technology is evolving beyond the traditional market of grocery retail,” he
added.
Stephen Gerrard, managing director of
Voxware,
Vocollect’s biggest competitor said: “You have to give Vocollect credit for
working on a partner strategy, but some of those partners are interested in
talking to Voxware.”
