Entuity Eyes resellers

Network management vendor launches Eye of the Storm channel programme

Written by Trevor Treharne

Network management vendor Entuity has launched a channel partner programme to recruit VARs for its flagship Eye of the Storm (Eye) product.

Eye discovers, manages and maps network assets, while providing real-time and historical reporting of network activity, the vendor has claimed. Entuity launched the Entuity Channel Partner Network (ECPnet) to recruit resellers to give service to the budding SME market.

Ken Klapproth, director of marketing at Entuity, said: “We are targeting new channel partners. We have about 18 signed and we are evaluating another six. We expect to get 50 partners by the end of the year.

“We offer partners training, 24-hour access to our technical resources, access to our PR resources and money for joint marketing initiatives.”

Klapproth added that Entuity traditionally worked with higher-level partners to serve the large enterprise market. However, ECPnet is designed to acquire new resellers in Entuity’s fastest-growing market: the small business space.

“SMEs have led the recent economic recovery by turning to IT solutions to increase productivity,” Klapproth said.

SMEs have growing networks that need a scalable enterprise-management offering that is easy to deploy, Klapproth added.

Dave Barry, vice-president of business development at AlterPoint, which partnered with Entuity late last year, said: “Effective network configuration in the enterprise is becoming a critical focal point for managing the complexities of a network’s infrastructure.”
