UK IT Industry Awards - the deadline is extended

Two more weeks to submit your entries for the UK's most prestigious IT awards, brought to you by Computing and the BCS

Written by Computing staff

The deadline has been extended for entries to the all-new UK IT Industry Awards, hosted by Computing and the BCS.

All submissions must now be received by 5pm on Friday 7 August to cater for the huge volume of last-minute entries we are receiving – so get your entries in now as there will be no further extensions.

The new awards programme merges the longstanding Computing Awards for Excellence and the BCS IT Industry Awards to create a platform for the entire UK IT profession to showcase and celebrate best practice, innovation and excellence. The new awards will be the biggest and most sought-after in the IT calendar, combining the strengths of the two most successful awards schemes in the sector.

The awards focus on the contribution of individuals, teams, organisations and technologies that have excelled in the use, development and deployment of IT in the past 12 months.

The winners will be announced at the lavish prizegiving ceremony, to be held at the Battersea Park Events Arena in London on Thursday 12 November 2009.

For all the details of how to enter, the awards criteria and the judging process, visit our web site at www.computing.co.uk/awards.
