Reinsurance firm Munich Re has signed a £13m contract with Atos Origin for the development and management of all IT systems running at its UK-based businesses.
The five-year deal replaces a number of existing IT contracts and is part of the financial firm's strategy to improve client services and risk management through standardised technology.
Cost efficiency and a simpler arrangement is expected to better equip the company to meet its goals, said Chris Everson, UK head of business solutions at Munich Re.
“The new service provides us with the flexibility and control that we need to better manage risk, respond faster to changes in the market and ensure compliance with new regulations,” said Everson.
