Barclays Bank’s investment banking division has signed a deal for new software to improve its online trading platform.

The web-based platform, from supplier Caplin Systems, will be used as part of Barclays Capital’s' fixed income e-commerce offering.

The tool allows finance firms to offer sophisticated multi-asset online trading in a browser, using Ajax-based internet applications so users can create personalised layouts and easily configure trade models.
