Faster internet connection will enable Belfast City Airport to provide real-time flight information to passengers

Belfast City Airport boosts web connectivity

The airport has improved internet links to provide up-to-date flight information for passengers

Written by Angelica Mari

Belfast City Airport has rolled out a 2Mbit/s managed internet link to provide frequent flight updates to travellers and improve connectivity for airport staff and businesses within the airport.

The connection also allows software providers to remotely monitor business critical applications.

The service will cover the airport’s web site, which receives more than 30,000 unique web visits every month, providing information about the airport and real-time flight information.

The airport’s new link is based on a leased line internet service and includes hardware as well as round-the-clock support, provided by ntl:Telewest Business.
