Charity technology forum helps the entrepeneurs of tomorrow

Tomorrow's entrepeneurs supported by £5m in fundraising

A networking forum of the Prince's Trust has hit a key fundraising milestone

Written by Janie Davies

The Prince's Trust Technology Leadership Group has raised £5m for a business programme designed to help young people set up their own businesses.

Since its creation in 2002, the Technology Leadership Group (TLG) has helped nearly 2,000 young people to improve their prospects.

Hitting this milestone amount is a great achievement for the TLG, said chairman and founding member Richard Holway.

“We are delighted to have raised these funds in just six years and thank all our members for their continued support," he said.

"The Trust’s Business Programme gives disadvantaged young people a chance to become tomorrow’s entrepreneurs and reaching the £5m mark is a significant achievement.”

Consulting and outsourcing group Capgemini has committed to donating £1m over three years and hopes that other potential donors will be inspired to contribute to the £1m per month the Trust needs to continue its business programme.
