UK army to trial electronic warfare system

Command and control system to be tried out

Written by Tom Young

The UK and Nato will trial an electronic warfare capability later this month.

The system will be trialled at the Coalition Warrior Interoperability Demonstration – an annual global exercise that involves more than 26 countries around the world in trialling new military capabilities.

Security vendor Symantec will demonstrate a cyberintelligence, network defence and command and control system.

As well as securing networks, the system will pull together threat and incident data to be available to military commanders.
