Bolton Wanderers upgrades network

Management contract improves communications for the Premier League side

Written by Janie Davies

Bolton Wanderers Football Club has signed a network management contract that will help the Premier League side upgrade its communications systems.

The network will support 135 employees across two UK sites, as well as external communication technologies.

The management system, provided by networking supplier Ipswitch, can identify errors, understand where they occurred and notify the user at an early stage.

If something goes wrong outside working hours, automated technology can restart services, said David Atkinson, Bolton Wanderers Football Club IT Manager.

"This helps massively when a small problem happens outside of business hours. All in all the system will save us time and money by assisting us in diagnosing issues quicker," he said.
