Citrix profit up 19 per cent

Quarterly income grew from $53m (£26m) to $63m (£32m) year on year

Thin client specialist Citrix Systems profit was up 19 per cent in the fourth quarter and 17 per cent over the whole of 2007.

Income in the last three months of 2007 was $63m (£32m) compared with $53m (£26m) the year before. It was $214m (£109m) for the whole financial year, compared with $183m (£93m) in 2006.

Revenue was also up, by 24 per cent in the fourth quarter to $400m (£203m), compared with $321m (£163m) in the same period of 2006. Annual revenue was up 23 per cent to $1.39bn (£706m) from $1.13bn (£574m).

“Our results are proof that the application delivery strategy is resonating with our customers,” said Mark Templeton, president and CEO of Citrix.

“For 2007, we saw very strong revenue growth, good EPS growth, and real traction in product licensing".
