Bank smooths foreign payments

New software automates international payments

Written by Dave Friedlos

Lloyds TSB will install systems later this year to automate and streamline the processing of international payments.

The system will identify problems and automatically communicate with banks abroad to resolve the issue.

‘Problems can arise when processing payments internationally, and this system will automatically provide information to speed up the transfer,’ said a Lloyds TSB spokesman.

Supplier Pegasystems is designing and testing the Smart Investigate technology, which will be installed at the end of the year.

Smart Investigate is built on rules-driven business process management software to identify exceptions to the norm.
