Budget airline EasyJet is replacing key financial systems as part of a major data integration project (Computing, 24 May).
The company has appointed vendor Agresso to provide an information management system, finance and procurement software to support its expansion into Europe and an annual 15 per cent passenger growth rate.
The new platform will handle EasyJet’s high volume of complex transactions, while keeping overall costs down.
Replacing existing financial systems was the first step in improving EasyJet’s overall view of company data, says head of software delivery Paul Curtis.
‘It will replace a number of databases spread across the business, ensuring a more resilient source of data,’ he said.
Agresso’s Business World system will be installed in the coming financial year.
