Car hire group Avis Europe is using search engine optimisation tools to ensure it tops internet searches and leads to added sales, web site traffic and brand awareness.
The company has contracted Web Gravity to supply a multi-lingual search campaign across 17 regions, consultancy, training and best practice documentation.
Avis Europe is also using its ‘intelligence’ tracking system to monitor is performance on popular search engines such as Google and Yahoo!
Search engine optimisation is the process of optimising a web site so that it is ranked as highly as possible in the listings of a search results page. Search engines send out ‘spiders’ to score web pages based on content, which is stored in an index.
When a user conducts a search, the engine matches that term against the index and displays the listing in accordance with its score.
Web Gravity will assist Avis Europe in maximising the use of key phrases and search term targeting, site analysis and benchmarking, content optimisation and the use of popular links.
