IT directors pledged more than 28,000 PCs to our Computer Aid appeal in the past year.
Working with specialist charity Computer Aid International, Computing is asking the UK's technology leaders to donate old PCs so they can have a second life in the developing world.
Computing set readers a target of 25,000 PCs in 2004. More than 28,000 PCs were pledged and so far nearly 5,000 computers have arrived at Computer Aid's offices for re-use in countries such as India and Kenya.
Last month, Computing visited South Africa and Mozambique to see how your PCs are being used in schools and universities.
And this week - exactly one year after the launch of the appeal - Computing launches a web site to help IT directors donate PCs easily and effectively. The site can be accessed at www.computing.co.uk/computeraid.
