Derbyshire Building Society has started a £3m project to replace its mainframe application for core business functions with an internet-enabled Microsoft .Net environment.
Suppliers Siemens Business Services and Financial Objects have formed a joined project team to implement 'activebank' to handle transaction processing and management of accounts and products.
Derbyshire Building Society IT Director John Gaunt: 'This project is of fundamental importance to Derbyshire Building Society. As well as finding the right software solution, we had to identify an implementation partner with a solid track record in this type of critical work and one in whom we could have absolute confidence.'
