The Carbon Trust

The Carbon Trust is an independent company funded by Government. Its role is to support the UK's move to a low carbon economy by helping business and the public sector reduce carbon emissions now and capture the commercial opportunities of low carbon technologies.

The Trust provides a wide range of resources including free carbon footprint assessments, top tips on how to reduce energy use, starter packs for firms keen to cut their carbon emissions, and guidance on how to access financial incentives for green technologies. It also runs a venture capital team that offers funding to innovative clean tech companies.
