Chemist chain Boots is using an e-recruitment system to consolidate hiring processes across the group.
The system will replace the current paper-based processes used by staff across 2,500 stores nationwide, as well as the existing platform used to support management, specialist and head office recruitment.
Boots expects to benefit from system features such as online psychometric testing – aimed at identifying and prioritising candidates who fit in with its criteria – and to speed up processes.
The software revamp is part of the company's recruitment transformation programme, which will focus on improving hiring experiences and developing Boots' brand as an employer .
“The e-recruitment platform will be a vital part of transforming the way we do recruitment," said HR operations director Dave Vallance.
"It will enable us to attract and select better quality people. Simplifying our processes for the benefit of applicants and recruiting managers and getting these things right will enhance our employment brand and free up time in our stores to focus on our customers," he said.
Supplier StepStone is proving the software.
