Microsoft is to acquire virtualisation specialist Kidaro for an undisclosed sum, adding to its range of infrastructure tools.
Technology from the Israeli company will be merged with Microsoft's Desktop Optimisation Pack for Software Assurance, a subscription-based set of enterprise applications.
“The acquisition of Kidaro is an important component of our virtualisation strategy, and it delivers a powerful new tool to help enterprise customers optimise their desktops,” said Shanen Boettcher, general manager of Windows products.
